hihi can i request how the media would react if they found out the bllk boys were married (itoshi brothers, kaiser, and whoever else you want)
ty, have a good day/night
“#𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐲𝐰𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐨𝐬𝐬”
a/n: this is a whole new idea and i love it! also thank you, have a good day/night as well!!!
a/n #2: who let them get married (and how do i get that lucky)
ft. itoshi rin, itoshi sae, kaiser michael, isagi yoichi, bachira meguru, mikage reo, nagi seishiro, karasu tabito
itoshi rin
the world stops spinning when it leaks that rin married you. nobody can compute it. no one.
he’s trending #1 globally with hashtags like #rinwifereveal #iceprincetaken.
confused fans everywhere are asking the real questions: “how did he propose if he only speaks in death threats?”
old clips of rin ignoring interviewers go viral again: “this man?? THIS MAN found a WIFE???”
his agency posts a really dry statement like: “itoshi rin is married. he will continue his professional activities as usual.”
the comments are gold – you getting praised like some mythological heroine: “if you married rin itoshi and lived to tell the tale, you deserve a national holiday.”
when asked about you at a press conference, rin’s response is peak rin: “it’s none of your business.”
but people notice he wears his wedding ring 24/7 and once smiled (barely) when someone said “your wife,” and fans LOST it.
you are now officially worshiped as the woman who melted the glacier.
itoshi sae
the media genuinely thinks it’s a typo when they find out sae married you. like itoshi sae??? able to love someone other than a soccer ball??? there’s no way he had the social skills for marriage.
headlines are so petty: “itoshi sae ties the knot: sources unsure if he even likes people.”
the sports tabloids zoom into old clips of him smirking mid-match like: “he must’ve been thinking about his wife 🫢”
memes explode overnight: “you: babe, can you smile for the wedding pics? sae: raises one eyebrow slightly”
your first public sighting together is chaotic. he’s pushing a grocery cart with a dead-eyed look while you’re happily picking snacks.
paparazzi snap a blurry photo, and boom: “breaking: itoshi sae domesticated.”
he literally never posts you (for privacy reasons), but when you post a picture of him cuddling you while half-asleep, fans combust: “WAIT he’s a softie for her ONLY???? iconic behavior.”
kaiser michael
he announces your marriage like a mic drop. the german media especially loses their minds.
posts a wedding photo with you on instagram, captioned: “still undefeated. married the hottest woman alive.”
media outlets around the world are scrambling to write articles fast enough.
magazines call you "the only trophy kaiser cares about.”
he does interviews where he says stuff like: “yeah, she’s my best win yet.”
every fan either: 1) cries about losing their delusions, or 2) makes memes of you carrying kaiser bridal-style after his matches.
during games, opponents will yell at him: “your wife’s watching, pretty boy!”
and kaiser just smirks, scores, and points to you in the stands like he’s in a movie.
you literally make him even cockier. he’s insufferable. but also hot about it.
isagi yoichi
the media basically short-circuits when they find out you’re married to him. like, nice boy next door isagi? married already???
they treat it like a scandal: “in today’s shocking development, yoichi isagi – japan’s golden boy – is officially off the market. hearts across the world have shattered.”
twitter is in absolute shambles: “NO WAY isagi’s MARRIED. i thought he was married to FOOTBALL 😭”
and you? you’re just living your best life, chilling while isagi is out here holding your hand proudly at press events like you’re his MVP.
he’s answering interviews all starry-eyed: “yeah! i love my wife! she’s the real reason i win games.”
you even get your own nickname in the press: "japan’s first lady of football.”
whenever you post a picture together, comments are like: “she’s the real endgame. we lost, but we lost to a queen 😭👑”
bachira meguru
everyone immediately falls in love with you, too. like, duh. you’re the perfect match for chaotic sunshine incarnate.
bachira’s announcement? just a pic of you both wearing matching crocs, captioned: “leveled up 💍🎮💖”
every comment is crying about how cute it is.
fans imagine the proposal like: “if i score 3 goals today, will you marry me? 😜”
he makes finger hearts at you from the field. sometimes he even dabs after scoring because you dared him to.
sports anchors have to explain “dab celebrations” on national TV now because of you two.
people call you “his player 2” and it’s so iconic that a brand tries to sponsor you both for matching gamer jerseys.
mikage reo
the media is CONVINCED it was some sort of billionaire merger. tabloids lose their minds speculating about your “secret heiress” identity.
but really? you’re just you. you married reo because he’s a clingy, golden retriever boy that genuinely loves you and treats you well.
he’s so defensive about it in interviews: “it’s not about money!! she’s literally perfect, end of discussion.”
still, fans are clowning: “reo mikage gave up his entire inheritance for his wife. love wins 😭”
reo keeps trying to pretend your life together is “normal” but then slips up like: “yeah, we took the jet to brunch lol.”
you constantly remind him not to flex, but it’s a losing battle. he just loves spoiling you too much.
he wears his wedding ring loudly like it’s a flex on single people.
nagi seishiro
no one is surprised. like, yeah. obviously nagi would get married to his first love.
he reposts a wedding pic you posted because he can’t be bothered making his own announcement.
interviewers ask, “what made you want to settle down?” and he goes: “she’s comfy. i love her.”
fans sob at the simplicity: “nagi just EXISTED and found true love while i’m out here struggling 😭”
you are considered the ultimate cozy queen by the fanbase.
nagi refers to you as “home” and it’s so casually romantic that everyone melts.
he basically just plays games, cuddles you, and naps, living the dream.
karasu tabito
he trolls the entire internet with your marriage reveal.
he posts: “sorry ladies, taken for life 💍🤪” with the hashtag #wifedup.
every comment is roasting him: “you????? married?????? how???”
no one believes him. not until you both post matching wedding rings with the caption: “teamwork makes the dream work 🫶”
sports reporters really don't know if it’s real or just karasu being karasu.
but it doesn’t change the fact that you and karasu become an iconic couple overnight.
karasu’s new favorite hobby is pretending to be a “wife guy” on twitter for clout. like he’ll fake cry on twitter about missing “the single life” while literally posting pictures of you two cuddling under captions like: “can’t go out tonight, gotta watch kdramas with my wife 💔”
fans call you "the MVP who finally fouled karasu’s heart.”
somehow you two are both chaotic and goals at the same time.
though media outlets are still confused whether to take him seriously because karasu’s like a walking clickbait article: “is he joking? is he not? find out on the next episode of karasu being karasu.”

The New York Police Department named 2020 [University of Pennsylvania] Engineering graduate Luigi Mangione as a “strong person of interest” in the ongoing murder investigation of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. In 2016, Mangione founded Penn’s Game Research and Development Environment, also known as UPGRADE. The game development club aimed to “foster creative expression and cultivate career skills for the artists, programmers, and creatives interested in game development in the Penn community” and grew to include over 50 members. Shortly after the press conference, a Penn Today article about UPGRADE which featured several quotes from Mangione was removed from the website, and a link to the page now directs to an error message. In the article, Mangione discussed his interest in programming and his experience founding the club. In 2017, The Daily Pennsylvanian reported on UPGRADE's attempts to move away from Penn's competitive club culture by admitting anyone who is willing to join without an application. “We discussed if we would seem more legitimate with an application, but that’s not the environment we’re going for. Our goal is to have fun and learn,” Mangione told the DP at the time. “As long as you’re willing to put in the time, you can be a game developer.” In 2018, Mangione — a computer and information science major — was inducted into Penn’s Eta Kappa Nu honor society for excellence in electrical and computer engineering.

The glow of the tech bros’ halo is dimming and, in 2025, the computing industry’s sheen of glamor will continue to fade too. While other STEM fields are making strides in broadening participation in their workforces, year after year, computing, a supposedly innovative field, fails to recruit, retain, and respect women and nonbinary workers. For example, precision questioning, abstraction, aggression, sexism, and a disdain for altruism—serving the social good—are a few of the core values driving culture in computing worksites. These values and the ways they are policed via bias, discrimination, and harassment in high-tech companies form the “Bro Code.”
The Bro Code perpetuates high tolerance of sexual harassment. It also contributes to the field’s failure to rectify its stark segregation. Only 21 percent of computer programming positions are held by women. Of that 21 percent, only 2 percent are African American, and only 1 percent are Latina. While sorely underrepresented in the field overall, women are disproportionately affected during industry’s downsizing. For example, nearly 70 percent of those laid off in the 2022 tech layoffs were women. This tracks with my experience in Big Tech. As soon as the company went public, stockholders demanded annual layoffs. For the first two years, the only people terminated in my department were women.
Further, due to their massive wealth and masterful branding, Bro Code bosses believe themselves to be wizards or priests. They lean into authoritarianism, prompted to repress complaints and resistance. Some programmers imitate this behavior. For example, in 2023, tech bros mobbed the Grace Hopper Celebration, the world’s largest conference for women and nonbinary tech workers. Women attendees I spoke with described men at the career expo simply barging in front of them in lines, and some said they were verbally harassed and assaulted.
In 2025, the march toward a future dictated by algorithmic lords will falter. Coalitions between feminist movements and labor activism will increase public scrutiny of tech culture. These efforts will start to crack the Bro Code. Bro Code bosses talk a big game about its socially revolutionary impact, but participants in my research felt thwarted when trying to use their technical skills to serve others. For instance, Lynn reported that the eye-tracking device she developed to help people with disabilities was repurposed for marketing analysis; Shauna’s lab mates nicknamed her “accessibility bitch” when she worked on projects to help those disenfranchised in computing.
As Big Tech continues to deliver empty promises instead of solutions to social ills—while dodging taxes, quashing regulations and fueling a yawning pay inequality gap—the public will continue to grow disenchanted with the industry. In 2025, thwarted altruistic efforts like Shauna’s and Lynn’s will accelerate growing skepticism about computing’s service to humanity.
Disenfranchised tech workers will continue to help us hold Bro Code bosses accountable for not only failing to live up to its widely publicized altruism, but also for their efforts to conceal the social harms of their products. As recent organizing activities by tech workers show, strong coalitions across workers are what scare these reigning elites the most. For example, in 2018, more than 20,000 Google employees across the globe staged a walkout against sexual harassment and systemic racism in the company. In 2025, activism against the militarization, racism, sexism and economic exploitation in the tech industry will skyrocket higher than Bro Code bosses' space jets.

Because many people kept asking about the photo, I decided to do the post about Ice-pick Lodge and Pathologic on KRI-2005
Ice-pick Lodge (Nikolai Dybowski, Petr Potapov, Airat Zakirov, etc.) went on the KRI-2005 (Game Devs conference) to give presentation about first Pathologic game.
Here are some photos, and the info from their site will be under the cut:

! All following info are from their site. Nothing is changed.
The day before March 31, 2005.
Due to the most recent events, we are severely short on human resources.
After spending four and a half hours gathering the most necessary medical tools and supplies, we piled into an ambulance and set off. A crucial task lay ahead: to select a suitable location for the secret anti-infectious laboratory.
The famous doctor-epidemiologist, doctor of medical sciences, professor of the department of lethal fevers of the state medical school Pestitsky Innokenty Savvovich comprehensively studied the epidemiological situation in the city. Having thoroughly considered all possible options, the professor opted for the famous hotel "Cosmos".
Honorable Innokenty Savvovich confirmed that in the next three days the presence of leading epidemiologists, sanitarians and attending physicians was necessary here.
As usual, equipment, service personnel and specialists (including Innokenty Savvovich himself) were brought to the meeting place through the basement. In the same way, shortly before, materials were obtained from a certain studio Ice-pick Lodge, which, according to rumors, is engaged in the development of computer games.
The location of the secret laboratory was marked with portraits of the protagonists of the simulator of human behavior in an extreme situation. The simulator was given a catchy, spectacular name - "Pathologic (Mor. Utopia)". Unusual, and on the ear.
We were not alone in the basement. We watched a strict bearded man in a yellow T-shirt carrying tanks with kvass past the future laboratory. We decided to be sure to inspect it for symptoms of Febris sebulosae infestation.
The production of kvass requires water, and most local sources, according to Professor Pestitsky, are in critical proximity to the burial fields of the results of last year's experiments of the laboratory.
Tomorrow, don't forget - ampoules for injections, sedatives, bandages, and spare shirts just in case.
Day 1 01.04.2005.
10:00
The situation is critical. There's a whole exhibition here. Dr. Pestitsky suspects that the territory of the neighboring stand (and maybe the whole complex) is hopelessly contaminated! We are conducting research: we have taken samples of air and water from local sources.
We are waiting for the results of the analysis. The professor's appointment is scheduled for 12:00.
It is surprising that potential patients themselves turn to the professor. Instead of the usual search and forced delivery of patients in need of examination, our orderlies have to guard the territory of the laboratory from unauthorized entry.
11:00
The results of air and water samples show the undoubted presence of the virus (in our laboratory it is called Febris sebullosa).
It is necessary to conduct a general inspection and comprehensive examination of visitors to detect symptoms of infection.
It was decided to declare a quarantine.
The decision to completely sanitize the premises, according to the expert committee of epidemiologists, is premature, but is not ruled out.
12:00
The examination of visitors has begun. The professor and the nurse are working in protective suits, masks and gloves.
At the same time they started the presentation of the simulator of human behavior in the situation of epidemic "Pathologic (Mor. Utopia)".
Detailed familiarization with the simulator will surely increase the chances of survival for the simulants.
Strange behavior of examinees is alarming: up to 90% of patients ask questions about minimum system requirements and number of polygons. Probably, the consequences of inflammatory processes of the left cerebral hemisphere and hypothalamus are affecting.
The system (drip)is placed intravenously in the patient for immediate and complete entry of medical drugs into the bloodstream. No minimum requirements are imposed on the patient. Test sites were used by the lab last year, but their location is highly classified.
17:00
By the end of the first day of the lab, 45 visitors have been examined.
The results of the examination are delivered to the central laboratory for detailed analysis.
Day 2 02.04.2005.
10:00
All night long we analyzed the results. By morning a summary report was compiled:
45 visitors (40 men and 5 women) were examined for symptoms of Febris Sabulosa (later FS).
BP elevation up to 140/90 mmHg was registered in 12 people, up to 180/105 mmHg. - у 7. Venous filling up to 100% was registered only in 28 subjects, the average filling was 83%. Pupillary reaction is adequate in 95% of subjects: pupils constricted at direct exposure to light reflected by frontal reflector.
The classification of preuremic stages of chronic renal failure (CRF) with additional determination of proteinuria degree was used. Judging by the reaction to the test drugs taken orally by the visitors, the CPN syndrome was not detected in any of the examined patients.
Dynamics of laboratory tests revealed that in 6 patients the stage of FS compensation passed to the latent stage. Alarming signal. We proceeded to the choice of optimal medical preparations for prevention and treatment of the consequences of FS infection.
Prof. Pestitsky is inclined to the choice of drugs of mixed type of immune response (Th1/Th2).
The rationale for choosing immunocorrectors of this type is their ability to correct internal hemodynamics, stabilize the rate of glomerular filtration, and reduce FS activity. Analyzing the literature data, we can conclude that the following drugs meet these requirements:
(drugs description )
12:00
We continue to examine visitors. All those examined receive a certificate with the results of the examination, signed by the medical staff of the field laboratory, the certificate is stamped.
Subjects are easy to contact, but the introduction of quarantine has affected their number. The age bar has risen sharply. Yesterday minors prevailed among the patients, today are much less.
14:00
Some of the visitors have mutation effects. This may be due to the close proximity of the GSC booth, as our examination did not reveal any symptoms of FS infection in these visitors.
Immediate hospitalization is recommended for several patients. It is necessary to make sure that they do not disregard Innokenty Savvovich's advice - those who refuse will have to be forcibly loaded into the carriage.
It's good to know that the secret laboratory is very well shielded.
We are not taken for what we really are.
16:00
We're continuing to examine the visitors. All patients are taking the medications prescribed by Professor Pestitsky.
The chief physician has left the laboratory area and has come into contact with extremely suspicious, probably unwell individuals.
They ask not to stand on their roof - in such cases immediate hospitalization is recommended.
Forcibly loading the patients into an ambulance was not possible: we were beaten to it. I wonder who carried out mass hospitalization using buses?
To clarify this issue, we followed the buses, observing the rules of covert surveillance. The buses unloaded the potential simulants at the club "Slava"
The choice of location is not random. A healthy person would not go to such a place, a sane person would lack either money or determination. But by taking the Hippocratic Oath, we have condemned ourselves to spend 90% of our time with people who are not quite healthy. Do no harm!
Tomorrow, don't forget: silent shoes with soft rubber soles.
Day 3 03.04.2005
10:00
There is a high probability that FS is a lethal virus.
11:00
Examined a man in a yellow T-shirt. Strangely, no suspicious symptoms were found. Still recommended him to support the body's immune system with vitamins, as well as to familiarize with the simulation of human behavior in an extreme situation "Pathologic (Mor. Utopia)". The patient refused gently but resolutely.
12:00
A large number of potential infected people gathered at the booth. In order to prevent mass contamination, the Chief Medical Officer gave a presentation of the simulator.
Taking the opportunity, the medical staff of the booth unobtrusively examined the visitors.
12:30
Visitor Andrei Kuzmin broke away from the group of those examined and stayed for a closer look at the simulator. He refused a comprehensive medical examination.
The level of high-frequency vibrations of his brain waves put the nurse in a trance state for a while. The Chief Laboratory Physician explained to Mr. Kuzmin the operation of the simulator in detail. It is necessary to examine the Chief Physician - none of us are familiar with such details.
14:00
Mr. Malik Khatajaev, a visitor of the stand, refused to make a comprehensive examination.
However, he promised to send his colleague Mr. Pyotr Prokhorenko for examination. Mr. Khatajaev argued that if Prokhorenko showed symptoms of FS, all other employees of the Lesta studio would also be hopelessly infected.
15:00
An unidentified infected person in a coma was found by our paramedics at Buka's booth and brought in. The patient could not be saved.
The time of death was recorded and the body was sent for pathologic examination. Autopsy results confirmed that death was due to FS infection. The fact that the FS virus leaves non-living cells instantly is extremely important.
15:30
Possibility of fatalities from FS infection has been announced. Asking people to leave the booth area.
Examine visitors who were too close to the infected person at the time of death. Patients have no instinct for self-preservation. I wonder if this is the result of inflammation.
A detailed study and analysis of the collected material will probably qualify us for the Küfner Prize.
16:00
The mental state of the Chief Medical Officer of the laboratory is of serious concern to Prof. Pestitsky. Today the Chief spoke about the primitive methods of developing simulators of human behavior and the possible direction of their development.
Probably, stress, mental overload of the last days, contacts with infected people and unexpectedly serious attitude to the question of rabbit breeding are affecting him. He seems to really consider himself a computer game developer by now.
17:00
Paramedics found Mr. Prokhorenko in a coma. All symptoms were identical to the previous case. At their own risk, the paramedics took Mr. Prokhorenko to the field laboratory. The measures taken by the medical personnel allowed Mr. Prokhorenko to be resuscitated and partially brought out of the coma.
This fact suggests the possibility of overcoming the consequences of infection by activating the latent intellectual potential of the patient.
17:15
Lesta Studios employees have been recommended to undergo a comprehensive examination. The inhabitants of the neighboring orange booth are also recommended to be examined. They are clearly in a stage of extreme emotional agitation.
Also disturbing is the fact that they are interested in breeding rabbits (when discussing this issue on their faces appears an extremely spiritualized expression).
People with the letters DTF around their necks cannot but surprise: it seems that they acted as volunteers of our laboratory all three days, taking measures to reduce the number of visitors (especially middle school age) and solving organizational issues.
A commendable enthusiasm worthy of full encouragement.
18:00
A simulation of human behavior in an extreme situation was recognized as one of the most out-of-the-box preventive measures to combat epidemics.

Shui Long Yin VR Metaverse: Technologies and Digital Assets, and the melon about it being released in Summer 2025

What is the metaverse?
The Shui Long Yin metaverse is a parallel world closely resembling the real world, built through the use of digital modelling and technologies such as VR and AR, and designed to exist permanently.
This virtual realm integrates cutting-edge advancements, including blockchain, augmented reality, 5G, big data, artificial intelligence, and 3D engines.
When you acquire a ticket to this world, you gain a digital asset, allowing you to become an immersive citizen within the Shui Long Yin Metaverse.
Every item within Shui Long Yin can be experienced through Augmented Reality using VR devices, providing a seamless blend of the physical and digital realms. These digital assets are permanent, and in some cases, overseas users may trade or transfer their tickets to enter the Shui Long Yin world.

What is VR and AR?
Virtual Reality (VR) is a technology that enables users to interact within a computer-simulated environment.
Augmented Reality (AR), on the other hand, combines elements of VR by merging the real world with computer-generated simulations. A well-known example of AR is the popular game Pokémon Go, where virtual objects are integrated into real-world surroundings.

Tang LiCi's universe
The Shui Long Yin film crew has digitally modeled the core art assets, 50 000 square meters.

What technologies does China Mobile & Migu bring to the table?
China Mobile served as the lead organizer for the 2023 World VR Industry Conference. Its subsidiary, Migu, has also been dedicated to advancing projects in this area.
Shui Long Yin is their first priority this summer 2025.
5G+AI: VR world in Metaverse
AIGC AR 3D: Using AI technology in graphics computer, with the best trained AI system in China.
Video ringtones as a globally pioneering service introduced by China Mobile.

Shui Long Yin from Screen to Metaverse to Real Life: Epic Battles and Intricate Plotlines
The United States and China are world pioneers in the development of TV drama integration VR Metaverse. Notably, Shui Long Yin is the sixth TV drama map worldwide to be merged into the Metaverse.
How can we enjoy these technologies?
-- First we need 5G -- According to a report by the Global Mobile Suppliers Association (GSA), by June 2022:
》There are 70 countries around the world had active 5G networks, you can fully experience all the technology featured in Shui Long Yin.
Example: South Korea, China, and the United States have been at the forefront. Follow after are Japan, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Australia, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Viet Nam...
》No worries—even in countries without 5G, you can still watch the drama and enjoy AIGC and 3D technology through the streaming platforms Migu Video and Mango.
•Mango available on IOS and Android, Harmony OS
•Migu (Mobile HD) soon availabe on IOS and Android, Harmony OS
-- Second, we need VR devices --
In country where VR is already commonplace, such as the United States, owning a VR device is considered entirely normal. Users can select devices that best suit their preferred forms of home entertainment.
European countries have also become fairly familiar with VR technology.
However, it is still relatively new to many parts of Asia. When choosing a VR device, it’s important to select one that is most compatible with your intended activities, whether that’s gaming, watching movies, or working.

It's no surprise to us that the drama Shui Long Yin will be released in the summer 2025, but it will also be coinciding with offline tourism to Long Yin Town in Chengdu, online VR Metaverse travel, and 3D experiences on the new streaming platforms Migu and Mango. Stay tuned!

The Christmas Engagement
Summary: To secure her company’s future, Regina Mills needs to convince Leopold Blanchard to sell his company to her. He wants to sell to a family-oriented company and has a very conservative view on what family looks like. In a moment of desperation, she makes up a fiancé. When Leopold wants to meet her family, Regina needs to find one STAT.
Enter Robin Locksley, a single father who is unable to move up from his low-paying position. He agrees to play Regina’s fiancé for the holiday season so she can convince Leopold to make the deal. Will their fake engagement fool everyone...or might their feelings turn out to be not-so-fake after all?

Excerpt (from Chapter 1: A Desperate Situation):
Regina Mills straightened her black blazer using her reflection in the silver elevator doors as the carriage rose up through one of the tallest buildings in Maine. She had a bright red dress underneath it, the pencil skirt hugging her curves. Though Regina had fought to develop a reputation for being a capable and intelligent executive who had successfully grown her family's company thanks to a combination of good marketing, great service and even better business deals, she knew when to flaunt a little of her sexuality to help in her negotiating. She knew Leopold Blanchard had lost his wife a little over a year ago and guessed that a younger, attractive woman would hold his attention long enough for her and her sister to impress him with their offer.
"You look fine," Zelena Mills-West assured her sister. "We have a great proposal. Leopold would be hard pressed to find a better offer for his company. And he'll get to look at the both of us, which is probably going to be the highlight of his year."
"There's a lot at stake, Zelena. We probably need Blanchard Electronics more than they need us," Regina replied, keeping an eye on the floors. Once the doors opened, she knew she had to be the confident businesswoman needed to impress Leopold and she needed to leave all her doubts behind her.
Zelena nodded. "I know, Regina, but we need to be confident. We will make this deal and we will get Blanchard Electronics. Okay?"
"Okay," Regina said as the elevator stopped at their floor. She took a deep breath and when the doors opened, her game face was on. Together with Zelena, she approached the reception area. "I'm Regina Mills and this is Zelena Mills-West. We have an appointment with Leopold Blanchard."
The receptionist checked something on her computer before nodding. She stood as she said: "I'm going to show you to the conference room. Follow me, please."
She led them to a frosted glass door and used a swipe card to let them into the room. A large glass table sat in the middle of the carpeted room, leather executive chairs surrounding it except at the end opposite of them due to the large screen at that end of the room. Windows ran from wall to ceiling, letting everyone in the conference room look out at the city skyline. Gray clouds moved in, promising the first snow of the season. Regina hoped it was just a flurry and that she didn't have to worry about the snow on top of the presentation.
The receptionist motioned to a marble counter along the nearest wall, which also included a fridge and a coffee machine. A basket of granola bars and chips sat next to the sweeteners and stirrers. "Help yourself. Mr. Blanchard will be in shortly."
Once she left, Zelena approached the coffee machine. She looked back at Regina. "Do you want anything?"
"Just some water," Regina said, accepting a cold bottle from her sister. "You should just have the water too. We don't want to make a bad impression."
"Having coffee won't make a bad impression," Zelena replied, rolling her eyes as she stirred some creamer into her coffee. She then dumped a packet of sweetener into the cup before following Regina to the table.
They took two seats and Regina opened her portfolio. "Shall we go over the proposal one more time?"
Zelena sighed. "We have everything under control, Regina. Just take a deep breath, relax and be your natural brilliant self. We've got this."
"We can't leave anything to chance," Regina started to say as the door opened again. She looked up and saw the receptionist escort another woman in, telling her to help herself and to have a seat.
Regina looked over the newcomer. She was probably older than Zelena, with tanned skin and ombre hair, going from brown to blond. Her gray-blue eyes looked over Regina and Zelena before she straightened out her black dress, walking over to the table as she took a chair across from them. She pulled out her own portfolio, going through it as it seemed she pointedly ignoring the other two women in the room.
The door opened once more but this time, Leopold Blanchard entered. He was an older man with thin gray hair surrounding a bald spot that covered the top of his head. He wore a dark gray suit with a blue tie and carried a folder of papers under his arm as he closed the door behind him. Smiling, he approached the table. "Thank you for coming. I know this might be a bit unorthodox, but your bids are the two we are considering so I thought it would just be easier to meet with both of you. Consider it a friendly competition."
"Friendly?" Zelena murmured. "Is he kidding me?"
Regina kicked her sister under the table, ignoring Zelena's pained yelp as she smiled at Leopold. "Whatever you think is best. We're flexible."
"I have no objections either," the other woman said, focusing all her attention on Leopold.
He smiled, nodding. "Wonderful! I know you both know me, so let me introduce you to each other. Victoria, this is Regina Mills and Zelena West. They are the CEO and COO respectively of Fantastical Finds, the online retailer. Regina, Zelena, this is Victoria Belfrey of Belfrey Enterprises, who leases retail spaces to companies."
"Pleasure to meet you," Victoria said, though her tone and eyes said otherwise.
"Likewise," Zelena said, almost sounding sincere yet still exuding just a bit of disdain.
Leopold opened his folder. "Now that everyone knows each other, let's get down to business. I'm sure you are wondering why I'm looking to sell the company. We're doing a healthy business, able to pay our shareholders and our employees, and are trending upwards. Well, I'll be honest, I'm old."
"Nonsense," Victoria said, smiling widely. "You look like spring chicken."
"Brown-noser," Zelena muttered. Regina kicked her again, forcing her sister to swallow her painful yelp.
Leopold didn't notice as he smiled at Victoria, his chest puffing out from her flattery. "Thank you, but the number of candles on my birthday cake disagrees with you. I also want to enjoy my retirement while I still can. My daughter just had her first child and I want to spoil my grandson rotten."
"A wonderful goal," Regina said, looking smug as Victoria glared at her. Two could play at the flattery game, she thought as she smiled brightly at Leopold. "Your grandson is quite fortunate to have such a loving and devoted grandfather."
He grew misty-eyed, nodding. "I hope so. Family is very, very important to me. I had hoped to pass my business down to my children, but my wife and I were only blessed with our daughter Mary Margaret and she was called to be a teacher, not a businesswoman. That played a big part in my decision to sell Blanchard Electronics, besides in helping to expand our business and make things better for our employees. I want to make sure whoever I sell to places just as importance on family as I do."
Regina's confidence grew, realizing they could have this in the bag. "Well, as you know, Fantastical Finds is a family operation. Zelena is not just my COO but also my sister. Our parents founded the company years ago, having the foresight to realize how the internet would revolutionize the retail industry and guiding our company into the major player we are today. My sister and I took over when they retired and continue to place great emphasis on family."
"I know," Leopold said, "which is why you are one of my two finalists. Tell me, do you have families of your own?"
"I do," Victoria answered, jumping in. "My husband Marcus works with me and we have three daughters-Ivy, Anastasia and Ella, his stepdaughter from his first marriage. His first wife died and we adopted the girl."
Leopold looked very impressed, his attention drawn back to her. Zelena, though, was quick to get it back. "My husband Chad is the head of our marketing division. We have a young daughter named Margot."
"And I have a son named Henry, after my father," Regina replied, hoping that would be enough. It was for her, after all.
"What about your husband?" Leopold asked. He then made a face before adding: "Or wife. Spouse. Partner. Whatever. I've been told I need to be more accepting of non-traditional families."
His tone, though, suggested he wanted to do anything but that. It was clear he considered a family to be a husband, wife and children. Probably even a dog. He seemed like a dog person to Regina.
She held her head high and settled on a vague but honest answer. "It's just Henry and me."
"I see," he replied, struggling to keep the disdain from his voice. He picked up the papers. "Well, I've reviewed your proposals and I am aiming to make my decision after the holidays. I am hoping to get to know your families and your companies, especially with the holidays coming up. I know they can be a busy time but nothing says family like Christmas."
"I absolutely agree," Victoria replied.
Zelena jumped in. "So do Regina and I."
Regina saw her opening and took it. "In fact, Zelena and I would like to invite you and your family to join us for Fantastical Find's annual holiday party. It's for all the employees and their families are invited as well. We all can mingle together and celebrate the end of another year."
"I would love to come," Leopold said, looking very pleased. "I will check with my daughter and her family but I'm sure they would love to come as well."
"We look forward to having you," Zelena added.
Victoria had a sour look on her face and a thrill rushed through Regina. It seemed they were able to get one up on her but she knew she couldn't rest easy just yet. She and Zelena still had to convince Leopold that it was best for his company to merge with theirs and she was certain Victoria would come up with some way to impress Leopold, to spend some time with him and show off her family. They would have to remain vigilant.
Leopold closed his portfolio. "Ladies, I thank you for coming down today and I look forward to spending more time with all of you in the coming weeks. Have a good afternoon."
Everyone stood and Leopold shook Victoria's hand, speaking with her in a low voice. She put on her fake smile again and nodded a lot before leaving the conference room.

Jorge Urrutia Galicia: A Mexican Pioneering Mathematician And Computer Scientist

Jorge Urrutia Galicia is a Mexican computer scientist and mathematician.
Galicia is best known for his work on geometry. He made contributions to many different areas of mathematics, including discrete geometry, discrete optimization, and computational geometry. His specialty in computational geometry has made him recognized as one of the leading researchers worldwide. His research has also focused on combinatorial optimization, which is related to combinatorial game theory.
His early works dealt with problems of separability and visibility, a field in which he is an indisputable authority. While it is clear that mathematics has always played a basic role as the underlying foundation of all technology, especially now, and in this case it is confirmed why the technological scope of Dr. Urrutia’s articles in routing is significant; suffice to mention just one: recently algorithms are being implemented based on the ideas of Dr. Urrutia, to make communication networks that can be used in case of natural disasters.
Since the end of the 20th century, he began to work on routing problems, developing algorithms for both the combinatorial and geometric problems, which literally founded a work area of great importance in its application to wireless and cellular networks. In the 21st century, Dr. Urrutia has also stood out for his numerous contributions to the study of discrete sets of points, on which he has made decisive contributions, both in their solution and formulating various variants.
Dr. Jorge Urrutia Galicia studied a bachelor’s degree in mathematics at the Faculty of Sciences of UNAM from 1971 to 1974, and a master’s and doctoral degree in mathematics at the University of Waterloo, Canada from 1976 to 1980. He has worked at the Metropolitan Autonomous University-Iztapalapa, CIMAT, Carleton University, Ottawa University from 1984-1998, where he was "full professor", and since 1998 at the Institute of Mathematics of the UNAM. On average, he teaches five courses each year (two undergraduate and three postgraduate courses).
Annually, he organizes at least two research workshops in Mexico, one of its main objectives being that its students know and work with renowned researchers and learn to collaborate with them as equals.
From 1990 to 2000, he was editor-in-chief of the journal Computational Geometry, Theory and Applications, published by Elsevier Science Publishers. He has been a member of the editorial boards of the Mexican Mathematical Society Bulletin and of Graphs and Combinatorics (Springer, and Computational Geometry: Theory and Applications (Elsevier). He was also editor of the Handbook of Computational Geometry (2000), one of Elsevier's first published handbooks.
He has published more than 270 articles in conference proceedings and research journals in mathematics and computing, which have received more than 6,000 citations, among the most important are two articles on routing in ad-hoc and wireless networks, which have received more than 2 600 citations together: “Compass Routing in Geometric Graphs” and “Routing with Guaranteed Delivery in Ad Hoc Wireless Networks.” In these investigations, Dr. Urrutia develops new strategies – highly efficient – to send information on wireless networks that take advantage of the characteristics obtained by recent technologies such as GPS, in addition to allowing them to travel through these networks effectively without having knowledge of their topology. It is worth mentioning that in 2012 he was the most cited mathematician of the UNAM.
He has given more than 40 plenary lectures at international congresses on Computational Geometry. He was editor-in-chief of "Computational Geometry, Theory and Applications" from 1990 to 2000. He has supervised more than 55 bachelor, master and doctoral theses.
In 2015, he received the "National University in Research in Exact Sciences" award at UNAM. He is is a member of the National System of Investigators, Level 3 He has organized and participated in the organizing committees of several national congresses including the "Victor Neumann-Lara Colloquium on Graphic Theory and its Applications", the "Canadian Conference on Computational Geometry", the "Japan Conference on Discrete and Computational Geometry" and the "Computational Geometry Meetings" (Spain). Oher countries where he has also participated in this way are Italy, Indonesia, Philippines, China, Canada, Peru and Argentina, as well as his home country, Mexico.

I'm probably bothering you a lot, feel free to not answer, just wanted to use the ask game you reblogged for some free real state information on Nash. How and why does Nash have the spirit of lust living in him? I have theories... But I feel I'm probably making up too crazy scenarios? I won't say what my theory is but... Does it have to do with whatever Narci did to him? (I've connected the dots, I haven't connected shit). Also, what happened with his father? Puzzles killed him right?
And How does Helix feel about detective? Can you tell us more about detective?
Detective is the start of everything. Detective is why any of them know each other. They would have all found out that there were multiple worlds eventually, but they might not have actually found each other. But because of their visions, Detective was the one who went out specifically trying to find other Riddlers and bring them together.
In the DC universe there exist these special places called Lazarus Pits: areas where natural chemical reactions basically create a concoction that can cure anything, even death. Kinda like the natural acid lakes in Java, except instead of acid, it's a health potion.
One of these exists far underneath Gotham City. They can be very dangerous places to get to, because they are jealously guarded by the minions of another villain. All of our Riddlers know about it, but only three have ever been down there, Detective being the first.
The stuff in the pit will cure anything, but It'll kill a healthy person. For those it heals, it confers an extended lifespan and restores youth, but it also bestows a temporary madness. In the Detective's case, it gave them visions, and made them look younger.
Despite this, Detective is one of the oldest Riddlers, having been born in 1970, and starting their criminal career at 29. Though they were a villain for almost 14 years, they were only responsible for 2 deaths (actually 3, but no one knows about the third one). They've simply always been a more even-handed person. They can and will hurt people if they feel like they have to, but personal violence is a last resort.
Detective was not always spiritual or mystical, but they did always believe that the mind could be expanded beyond its current confines, which led them to a successful career as a computer programmer, puzzle maker, and game designer, later breaking into internet infrastructure, virtual reality, and AI. And if they hadn't come across their predatory boss, everything would have been just fine!
But that's not what happened.
Detective has always been fairly obsessed with their appearance, to the point where they get distracted if they think there is something 'wrong' with how they look. They sometimes extend this to the people they are around, tidying hair, straightening lapels, brushing dust, giving advice. They are not touch adverse at all. Some of the others are fine with letting them fuss, but others (Puzzles, it's Puzzles) really don't like it. They try to do it anyway. It's a compulsion.
Their habit of mothering others also stems from this compulsion, a need to constantly be 'improving' everything about and around them. It's part of a complex set of protective behaviors they developed in their childhood.
Detective is the only Riddler for whom therapy was actually successful. Their feelings of being somehow 'wrong' or 'imperfect' lessened significantly once they came to the understanding that they weren't actually a man.
They don't lie. This is also a compulsion. However, they don't have to be completely honest either, and can twist words and omit information as they see fit. But they can't bring themselves to directly lie.
Detective and Helix actually get along really well! Even, and perhaps especially after she takes Narci in. Helix can't see visions like Detective, and Detective can't get outside the Nexus, like she can, so they both have plenty of things to talk about, that the others don't really share. She is also very willing to let them fuss over her.
Detective is partnered with Jervis Tetch, another reformed villain. they have been together for a long time now, and are very sweet.
Detective is medium height and thin, in a soft way rather than a bony way. They're pale, with a rosy undertone, with bright red-orange hair, and olive green eyes. They have no visible scars, and are a proficient makeup artist.
Once they gave up being the Riddler, they pivoted into being a private detective, unraveling riddles instead. They will still pose riddles to others, but only if asked, and there are never any stakes involved.
As with all Riddlers, Detectives father was a real piece of shit, and he was a piece of shit in a 1970's way, so you can understand why it took so long for Detective to come to realize their genderfluid status. Their mother was caring however, though she also suffered under her husbands awful behavior. The fate of Detective's parents is unknown.
Detective wants children, but being a felon, even a reformed one, means they are not allowed to adopt. Instead, they gathered a whole family of themselves.
As for Nash...that is such a long story that it's gonna need it's own post.

Animation technique simulates the motion of squishy objects
New Post has been published on https://sunalei.org/news/animation-technique-simulates-the-motion-of-squishy-objects/
Animation technique simulates the motion of squishy objects
Animators could create more realistic bouncy, stretchy, and squishy characters for movies and video games thanks to a new simulation method developed by researchers at MIT.
Their approach allows animators to simulate rubbery and elastic materials in a way that preserves the physical properties of the material and avoids pitfalls like instability.
The technique simulates elastic objects for animation and other applications, with improved reliability compared to other methods. In comparison, many existing simulation techniques can produce elastic animations that become erratic or sluggish or can even break down entirely.
To achieve this improvement, the MIT researchers uncovered a hidden mathematical structure in equations that capture how elastic materials deform on a computer. By leveraging this property, known as convexity, they designed a method that consistently produces accurate, physically faithful simulations.
The method can simulate wide range of elastic behavior, from bouncing shapes to squishy characters, with preservation of important physical properties and stability over long periods of time.
Image: Courtesy of the researchers
“The way animations look often depends on how accurately we simulate the physics of the problem,” says Leticia Mattos Da Silva, an MIT graduate student and lead author of a paper on this research. “Our method aims to stay true to physical laws while giving more control and stability to animation artists.”
Beyond 3D animation, the researchers also see potential future uses in the design of real elastic objects, such as flexible shoes, garments, or toys. The method could be extended to help engineers explore how stretchy objects will perform before they are built.
She is joined on the paper by Silvia Sellán, an assistant professor of computer science at Columbia University; Natalia Pacheco-Tallaj, an MIT graduate student; and senior author Justin Solomon, an associate professor in the MIT Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and leader of the Geometric Data Processing Group in the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). The research will be presented at the SIGGRAPH conference.
Truthful to physics
If you drop a rubber ball on a wooden floor, it bounces back up. Viewers expect to see the same behavior in an animated world, but recreating such dynamics convincingly can be difficult. Many existing techniques simulate elastic objects using fast solvers that trade physical realism for speed, which can result in excessive energy loss or even simulation failure.
More accurate approaches, including a class of techniques called variational integrators, preserve the physical properties of the object, such as its total energy or momentum, and, in this way, mimic real-world behavior more closely. But these methods are often unreliable because they depend on complex equations that are hard to solve efficiently.
The MIT researchers tackled this problem by rewriting the equations of variational integrators to reveal a hidden convex structure. They broke the deformation of elastic materials into a stretch component and a rotation component, and found that the stretch portion forms a convex problem that is well-suited for stable optimization algorithms.
“If you just look at the original formulation, it seems fully non-convex. But because we can rewrite it so that is convex in at least some of its variables, we can inherit some advantages of convex optimization algorithms,” she says.
These convex optimization algorithms, when applied under the right conditions, come with guarantees of convergence, meaning they are more likely to find the correct answer to the problem. This generates more stable simulations over time, avoiding issues like a bouncing rubber ball losing too much energy or exploding mid-animation.
One of the biggest challenges the researchers faced was reinterpreting the formulation so they could extract that hidden convexity. Some other works explored hidden convexity in static problems, but it was not clear whether the structures remained solid for dynamic problems like simulating elastic objects in motion, Mattos Da Silva says.
Stability and efficiency
In experiments, their solver was able to simulate a wide range of elastic behavior, from bouncing shapes to squishy characters, with preservation of important physical properties and stability over long periods of time. Other simulation methods quickly ran into trouble: Some became unstable, causing erratic behavior, while others showed visible damping.
“The way animations look often depends on how accurately we simulate the physics of the problem,” says Mattos Da Silva.
Image: Courtesy of the researchers
“Because our method demonstrates more stability, it can give animators more reliability and confidence when simulating anything elastic, whether it’s something from the real world or even something completely imaginary,” she says.
While the solver is not as fast as some simulation tools that prioritize speed over accuracy, it avoids many of the trade-offs those methods make. Compared to other physics-based approaches, it also avoids the need for complex, nonlinear solvers that can be sensitive and prone to failure.
In the future, the researchers want to explore techniques to further reduce computational cost. In addition, they want to explore applications of this technique in fabrication and engineering, where reliable simulations of elastic materials could support the design of real-world objects, like garments and toys.
“We were able to revive an old class of integrators in our work. My guess is there are other examples where researchers can revisit a problem to find a hidden convexity structure that could offer a lot of advantages,” she says.
This research is funded, in part, by a MathWorks Engineering Fellowship, the Army Research Office, the National Science Foundation, the CSAIL Future of Data Program, the MIT-IBM Watson AI Laboratory, the Wistron Corporation, and the Toyota-CSAIL Joint Research Center.

Nvidia Unveils NVLink Fusion to Supercharge AI Chip Communication at Computex 2025
Nvidia continues to solidify its position as a global AI powerhouse with the launch of NVLink Fusion, a groundbreaking technology designed to accelerate chip-to-chip communication for advanced AI systems. Announced ahead of the highly anticipated Computex 2025 trade show, this move signals Nvidia’s strategic shift from a GPU-centric past to a future driven by AI innovation.
What is NVLink Fusion?
NVLink Fusion is the latest evolution of Nvidia’s NVLink technology, originally developed to enable high-speed data transfer between multiple GPUs. The new iteration goes a step further, allowing third-party chip designers to harness Nvidia’s interconnect technology to build custom AI systems at scale. This will be crucial for companies seeking to deploy AI tools that require seamless data sharing across a network of processors.
Currently, NVLink plays a critical role in Nvidia’s flagship GB200 chip platform, where it connects two Blackwell GPUs with a Grace CPU, optimizing data throughput for intensive AI workloads.
Major Announcements at Computex 2025
The announcement came during Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s keynote at the Taipei Music Center, just a day before Computex officially opens its doors from May 20–23. Huang’s speech was packed with major developments, including:
A New Taiwan Headquarters: Nvidia plans to establish a regional HQ in northern Taipei, a move that reinforces its long-term commitment to Taiwan and its pivotal role in global semiconductor manufacturing.
Shift in Focus: Huang reflected on Nvidia’s transformation, noting that while his past presentations focused heavily on gaming GPUs, today’s spotlight is firmly on AI and data-centric computing.
Next-Gen Chips Roadmap: Huang also detailed Nvidia’s ambitious roadmap:
Blackwell Ultra chips arriving later this year.
Rubin chips to follow.
Feynman processors set for release in 2028.
DGX Spark Desktop AI Chip in Full Production
In a nod to AI researchers and developers, Nvidia also confirmed that its DGX Spark, a desktop-class AI computing system, has entered full-scale production. It will be available in the coming weeks and is expected to be a game-changer for AI innovation at the desktop level.
Nvidia’s Expanding AI Ecosystem
Alongside hardware, Nvidia is deeply invested in the software and platforms required to train and deploy generative AI. At the company’s GTC developer conference in March, Huang emphasized a strategic pivot—from building massive AI models to enabling practical, scalable AI applications.
Nvidia is also expanding into CPU development, reportedly working on chips to run Microsoft Windows, based on Arm Holdings’ architecture, marking another step in its effort to dominate every level of the AI stack.
The Return of "Jensanity"
If last year’s Computex was any indication—where Huang was mobbed by fans and media alike—the Nvidia CEO is expected to draw massive crowds again this year, highlighting the cultural impact he has had on Taiwan’s tech landscape.
Final Thoughts
Nvidia’s latest announcements at Computex 2025 confirm what many in the industry already believe: the company is no longer just a GPU manufacturer but a foundational force in the future of AI. With NVLink Fusion opening doors for cross-chip innovation and a robust chip roadmap in place, Nvidia is clearly setting the pace in the race for AI supremacy.
